3 Greystones is an excellent holiday cottage, presented to a high standard and located in a classic Cotswolds village. The cottage is tucked away in a quiet corner of the village and offers real peace and tranquility. The cottage has a garden to its rear filled with some lovely 'cottage' plants and table and chairs, perfect for an alfresco moment! Internally the property is well equipped and provides spacious accommodation mixing the popular Cotswolds features of beams and exposed walls with contemporary furnishings. Upstairs the two bedrooms are large and overlooking the garden area, as well as two bathrooms! The village of Cold Aston has a great 'Cotswolds' feel' with many traditional buildings and open fields and countryside surrounding. Nearby are the everpopular locations of Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold with their many shops and attractions. An excellent choice for a family or small group this is certain to appeal! We like this cottage.

Cold Aston is a small rural village between Cheltenham and Bourton-on-the-Water and one which has kept its rural appeal and charm with the majority of the buildings and houses retaining the typical Cotswold period look. Within the village, there is a Church, Village School, Village Hall and a Village Pub. The village and surrounding area is steeped in Iron Age and Roman history. The village name has varied over the years and in the Domesday Book, it appears as Estone (East farm), while by the mid-13th century it had become Cold Aston probably because of its exposed position high in the North Cotswold hills!
The local village pub 'The Plough' is currently closed for refurbishment-at present we are not aware of a due date for re-opening.
