Buttercup Cottage, Somerford Keynes is a super holiday cottage located within the heart of the Cotswold Lakes. Situated in a prime location overlooking Somerford Lagoon, one of the Cotswold lakes, this cosy cottage is absolutely ideal for a family or small group of friends looking to enjoy the peace of this region of the Cotswolds and yet also interested in visiting many of the area's popular attractions. The area is one of the UK's largest Wildlife Reserves still in private hands and offers an abundance of wildlife to enjoy. Inside the cottage offers spacious and modern accommodation for four, (with the added benefit of extra bunk beds if required). The open plan living space with its cool wooden flooring has a fresh (almost Scandinavian!) feel, along with doors to a private, enclosed balcony overlooking the lake. Buttercup sits within a private and gated community, which has access to an outdoor heated pool (seasonal), tennis court, and miles of cycle and walking trails for people of all ages to enjoy, along with village pub within a mile. An excellent property all round!

Kitchen, galley style and fully equipped with electric hob and oven, microwave, large fridge and freezer and dishwasher.
Cloakroom with WC and washbasin, plus washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outside
Buttercup Cottage has access to the excellent Lower Mill Village facilities, including the outdoor, heated swimming pool (from Easter to October Half term only), tennis court, shop and endless walks around the lakes

The Lower Mill Estate is a 450 acre private nature reserve, making it a nature lover's paradise. As a guest, you are free to enjoy the whole Estate at your leisure. You may want to enjoy a peaceful walk around one of the beautiful lakes, fish, and bird watch from one of the hides.

A large outdoor heated swimming pool is available Easter to end of October and over Christmas and New Year. There's also tennis, cricket practice nets, table tennis, a sauna and trampoline. Fishing is available on several of the lakes and Spinney Lake offers non-powered water sports. A small farm shop is situated in the heart of the Lower Mill Village, offering all of the essentials.

In addition to being within easy reach of many picturesque Cotswold villages and the splendour of Roman towns like Cirencester and Bath, the Cotswold Water Park makes a great holiday destination because of the tremendous variety of activities on offer. Today the Cotswold Water Park is Britain's largest water park, 50% larger than the Norfolk Broads, extending to over 40 square miles and includes: 133 lakes, 5 nature reserves, Country Parks with picnic and Barbecue sites, a Blue Flag bathing beach, an extensive network of footpaths, cycle ways and bridleways as well as extensive leisure and sporting activities. Many Cotswold attractions and villages are all within easy access.
