Mayfly Cottage is a gorgeous and traditional Cotswold cottage tucked away on the edge of the truey stunning Cotswold village of Coln St Aldwyns. Sitting in the grounds of the owners fabulous, home this classic cottage enjoys a beautiful location with mature woodland and open countryside surrounding it, plus a garden which overlooks the River Coln. Heavenly! Originally converted from an old barn some 200 years old, the whole cottage has been lovingly cared for so as to retain the character that you would expect. The old owl hole, original beams and loft remain, whilst central heating and the high standard of equipment ensure complete comfort whatever the season. Country walks can begin from the doorstep and the centre of the village with its excellent pub and village stores is only a five minute stroll. This is a very popular cottage with many guests returning year after year - you will understand!

Outside
The property sits in the grounds of the owners home, however, there is private space for guests use, while the owners are happy for guests to use their garden also. The River Coln runs through the garden, which is simply gorgeous.
Gas central heating and electricity included. Please note bath towels are NOT supplied. Parking. Use of garden, with garden furniture. Regret No Pets. No short breaks out of low season unless last minute.
An excellent cottage, and the perfect base from which to explore by foot or car. Nearby Attractions include a host of beautiful villages and walks found in and around the Southern Cotswolds, Bibury, Fairford, Burford and Lechlade. Market towns include Cirencester, Bath, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cotswold Water Park. Local shops & Inn with restaurant 5 minutes walk, fishing 1/2 mile.
