Cotswolds Retreats

Newbridge Cottage, located in a small hamlet a short distance from Bourton on the Water, is a delightful 19th Century Cotswolds cottage. From the moment you walk through the front door into the living room you get that cosy cottage feeling that you can only get from the Cotswolds. The hamlet, Clapton on the Hill, is surrounded by glorious rolling countryside and yet remain extremely convenient for the areas hot spots including Bourton on the Water and Burford. Internally the owners have re-created an incredibly welcoming home packed with traditional features including beams and exposed walls. These together with a superb, contemporary log burning stove, which was roaring beautifully when we visited! The cottage also benefits from a lovely large cottage garden which overlooks the local church, which according to the locals is the smallest in the Cotswolds! In our opinion Newbridge Cottage is the perfect place to live the dream, a quintessential Cotswold Cottage holiday or break!

Living Room, a lovely room with real character including wooden beams and exposed stone walls with large sofa, armchair and additional seat with large inglenook fireplace with woodburning stove, large flatscreen TV and DVD, plus stereo system. 
Kitchen / Dining Room, fully equipped kitchen with electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge with separate freezer.

First Floor
Master Bedroom, a lovely light and airy room, with double bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe. There are lovely views from the windows.
Bathroom with bath, shower over, WC and washbasin.

Second Floor
Bedroom Two a good size vaulted room with beams, two single beds, chest of drawers and hanging space.

Outside
There is a lovely, good sized garden to the rear of the cottage, overlooking the local church, which offers privacy and peace! There is a table and chairs. 

Heating and Electricity included. Sorry No Pets. Children Aged 10+ please. Saturday Changeover in July & August please, any day otherwise. Wi-Fi included

The hamlet of Clapton on the Hill is quietly peaceful and the outdoors couldn’t be more pretty with fantastic views from the village over the Windrush Valley, famed for its walking and criss-crossed with footpaths. Yet you’re only a three-mile walk or 10 minute drive from the charming town of Bourton-on-the-Water, one of the most famous of the Cotswold villages. Burford, recently rated one of the most desirable locations to live in the world by Forbes Magazine is a mere 10 miles away. Slightly further afield are Oxford and Cheltenham
