The Green is a splendid, period Cotswold stone cottage located in the beautiful and sought after village of Swinbrook, itself nestling on the River Windrush. The cottage, which has many period features, has a light and airy feel mixed with classic touches such as wood, flagstone floors exposed beams. French windows open onto a wisteria clad oak veranda and an outside sitting area with table, chairs, BBQ and large trampoline. The garden is mainly laid to lawn with fruit trees and a stream running along the side of the house (parents with small children please note!). The Swan restaurant/pub is very good and well worth a visit, after all it is within easy walking distance of the cottage! Continue further and a picturesque walk beside the Windrush takes you to Burford.
ACCOMMODATION:
Large front porch (good for storing muddy wellies and outdoor boots) leads into a cosy Sitting Room with comfortable sofa and armchairs, TV, video and open working fireplace.
Large Kitchen with electric cooker and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge with small freezer compartment.
Spacious Dining Area with large dining table, comfortable sofa and rocking chair.
Bedroom One, a single bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bath, WC and washbasin. Washing machine and tumble dryer.
Upstairs:
Master Bedroom Two with double bed.
Bedroom Three with two single beds.
Study with desk and armchair leading to Shower Room with 'walk-in' shower, WC and washbasin.
Central heating and electricity included all year. Off-street parking for 2 cars.
No pets. No Smokers. Friday changeover. Please note: Staircase is rather steep.
Oxford, Blenheim Palace, Warwick Castle, Stow-on-the-Wold and many other famous beauty spots in the Cotswolds are within easy driving distance from the village. Please be aware that as with all period cottages, as well as looking beautiful they retain many touches that remind us of previous times! So there is no damp proof coursing, which can sometimes lead to small wall marks. The cottages are maintained and heated throughout.
