The Haven is a wonderful single storey holiday cottage which has undergone sympathetic renovation. Originally part of a 14th Century farm, the cottage is light and spacious with far reaching panoramic views across the Cotswold countryside. Set within the conservation village of Shipton under Wychwood, there are great walks and country pubs, such as The Lamb close by. The property retains original beams and stone walls, and now has beech floors throughout along with mod cons such as power showers, a dishwasher and Sky TV. The views of the Cotswold Hills offer fantastic sunsets which can be enjoyed either privately within your own garden space or anywhere within the 11 acres of grounds.
ACCOMMODATION - all on one level (except for three steps)
Entrance into Kitchen / Dining Room, with dining table for 8 people, new appliances throughout, including dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer, gas hob with oven and microwave.
Passage to Bathroom One, with large bath, excellent power shower in bath, WC and washbasin.
Bedroom One with twin beds, which can be linked together to make large King Size bed, enjoying views to garden.
Bedroom Area, approached via steps, has a single bed, with additional bed to make twin or double beds, views across farm.
(Please note that you have to pass through this Bedroom to access the following rooms:)
Bathroom Two with bath, power shower in bath, WC and wash basin.
Bedroom Two with large double bed and farm views.
Very large Living Room with books, comfortable sofas, sofa bed and chairs, Sky+ TV, DVD/video and CD player. Views to countryside.
Garden with BBQ and trampoline.
(Please note that you will pass through Bedroom Three to access Bedroom Two and the Living Room.)
Heating and electricity included all year. Off-street parking. Cot and high chair available. Sofa bed charged at £40 per week.
Children welcome (giant Trampoline available!). Sorry no Pets. Friday changeover please. Non-smoking property.
Shipton-under-Wychwood is conveniently located midway between Burford and Chipping Norton, accessible by train straight from Paddington - as a request stop! Close by is the Cotswold Wildlife Park, Bourton on the Water with Model Village and many other attractions and the popular Cotswold towns of Stow on the Wold and Moreton in Marsh. Golf, fishing and riding are all within 5 miles of the cottage.
